Privacy

This policy covers eptalights.com, the website of Eptalights Research. It does not cover our products, which have their own sites and their own policies: EptaKode and EptaData. It also does not cover client engagements, which are governed by the agreement we sign with each client.

What this site collects

This site is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms that store data, and it sets no cookies of its own.

Like any web server, the host that serves the pages may keep standard request logs: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested and the time. We use them only to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.

We do not currently run analytics or advertising scripts on this site. If that changes, we will name the provider here before it goes live.

When you contact us

The way to reach us is to book a call. We use what you share to prepare for and follow up on the call, to scope work you ask about, and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list without asking.

If you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects the details you enter (name, email, and any notes) and shares them with us. Their handling of that data is described in their privacy policy.

Information you share with us for research work

Please do not send source code, data, credentials or vulnerability details through the website, by email or on a booking form before we have agreed how to exchange them. For engagements, we agree a confidentiality arrangement and a secure transfer method first. Client code and data are used only for that client's engagement, are not used to train models for anyone else, and are returned or deleted when the engagement ends, as the agreement specifies.

How we use and share information

We use what we collect to run this site, respond to enquiries and carry out work you have asked for. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (hosting, email, scheduling), who may process it only on our behalf, or where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking details and notes from our conversations are kept for as long as the conversation or engagement continues, plus a reasonable period afterward for our records. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our host. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive a copy. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

Security

We limit access to the information we hold and use reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, which is one more reason to keep sensitive material out of email or a booking form.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here.
